Let’s Settle This With A Dance Off - More Like The Movies

Why is gas so expensive? Gosh. Losing money here! 
anddd, i’m reposting a blog from a few days ago on here. :P

trying to figure out how i’m going to manage to drive from the atlantic ocean to the pacific in the same day in time to see the sunrise/set on each coast.

If I take the Pan American Highway from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Valparaiso, Chile, it’d be the most direct route but it’d take over 18 hours. That’s too long. The sun would be down by the time I got to the West Coast. Unless of course I left the East Coast before the sun came up which would ruin the point.

It takes 16 1/2 hours from Bahia Blanca, Argentina to Lebu, Chile. On December 21st, the longest day of the year in South America, there are only 15 1/2 hours of sunlight. If I go further south to get a longer day, there becomes less roads. If there are no roads, I can’t really drive from coast to coast, especially since I’d have to go through the mountains. I’m thinking maybe I could just drive part way and then take one of those ghetto little planes the rest of the way. I said no planes at first but this would be different. I wouldn’t just be flying across the country. It’d still be an adventure. And I wouldn’t be in this country. I’d be in Argentina. And then Chile. Of course, I have no idea what it’s like in those countries. Maybe it’s not safe. Maybe I would die.

Hmm.

I hope not.

P.S. I learned all of this as I was supposed to be doing research for my project about Paraguay. I may have failed at finishing that homework but I think my Geography teacher should be proud.
